About this policy

This policy explains how Connie Paglianiti (“I”, “me” and “my”) handles personal information in connection with this website, speaking and media enquiries, book enquiries and related communications.

Information you provide

I collect information you choose to provide when you email me or submit a form. This may include your name, email address, phone number, organisation, event details and the content of your enquiry. If you subscribe to updates, I also receive your subscription details and preferences.

Please provide only information needed for your request. Avoid sending sensitive health information, identity documents, payment details or personal information about other people unless it is necessary and you have their permission.

You can make a general enquiry without giving your full name. Without contact details or information needed for a request, I may be unable to respond or arrange a service.

How information is used

I use your information to respond to enquiries, discuss and arrange speaking engagements, handle media and book requests, deliver resources you request, maintain relevant business records and meet legal obligations. Where you agree to receive updates, I use your contact details to send them. You can unsubscribe using the link in an update or by emailing me. A service enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

Website information and cookies

The website platform and its service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and access times to deliver the website, maintain security and understand its use. Cookies or similar technologies may be used by the platform and any enabled services. You can manage or block cookies in your browser; doing so may affect some website features. Where a consent control is displayed, you can use it to manage the choices offered.

Links to YouTube, social media, retailers and event websites take you to other services. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them. If third-party content is embedded on a page, that provider may receive technical information when the content loads or you interact with it.

Service providers and sharing

I use BConnected, which operates on the HighLevel platform, to support the website and enquiry management. Information may also be handled by service providers supporting email, hosting, storage and technical support, as needed to deliver those services. Relevant details may be shared with an event organiser or another person involved in fulfilling your request, with your permission or where you would reasonably expect this.

Information may also be disclosed where required or authorised by law, or where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

Overseas processing

Online service providers may store or process information outside Australia. HighLevel states that its international processing may involve the United States, India and other countries where its providers operate. The locations involved depend on the services used. You can contact me with questions about providers handling your information. Further information about HighLevel is available in its privacy information; this policy explains my handling of your information.

Security and retention

I take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access or disclosure, including limiting access to people who need it for the relevant purpose. No online system or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Information is kept for as long as reasonably needed to handle your enquiry, provide an agreed service, maintain necessary business records, resolve disputes or meet legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, reasonable steps will be taken to delete or de-identify it. Copies may remain in routine provider backups until those backups are replaced. You can ask for deletion, subject to any information that must be retained.

Access and correction

Email me to request access to your personal information, correct an error, update your preferences or ask for deletion. I may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity. I will respond within a reasonable time and explain if a request cannot be fully met, including any applicable legal reason.

Privacy complaints

If you have a concern, email me with details so I can investigate. I aim to respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, I will let you know. If you are dissatisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, which can explain whether it can consider your complaint.

Children

Enquiry and subscription forms are intended for adults. A parent or carer should contact me on behalf of a child. Please let me know if a child has submitted personal information so I can arrange its removal where appropriate.

Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when the website or information handling changes. The latest version and its date will appear on this page. For questions or a copy in another accessible format, email [email protected].
